Unfortunately, it appears that I will not be chasing 2816 on her shakedown run to Carseland and back to Calgary. I will however be going along for the ride! A friend of mine asked if I wanted to join him as he is allowed to bring along a guest...

Great news, Jason. Not sure if CP allows the Dutch doors open (at least with oil there are no cinders-in-the-eye to contend with) or detraining during wyeing. I'm sure you'll find some unique photo opportunities. Enjoy,

Thanks Eric. I'm not 100% positive about the dutch doors, but I think they do open them. I know that the doors on the modified baggage car will be open. I already have a few shots in mind that I would like to try.
